Sermon on the Mount: The Beatitudesಮಾದರಿ

Day 20:
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. - Matthew 5:9
Bringing reconciliation where there is conflict
Being a peacemaker also means being an instrument of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 reminds us that God has given us the ministry of reconciliation, calling us to help bring healing and unity where there is division: “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.” This work often involves stepping into uncomfortable situations, listening to all sides, and helping others find common ground.
Reconciliation isn’t always easy. It requires courage, wisdom, and a heart willing to serve others selflessly. It may involve mending broken relationships, helping others understand each other, or being a voice for those who need healing. As peacemakers, we are called to point people back to the ultimate reconciler—Jesus Christ—who breaks down barriers and unites us in His love.
Let us seek God’s wisdom and courage to be agents of reconciliation, knowing that when we help restore relationships, we reflect the heart of our Heavenly Father.
Prayer focus:
Praying for wisdom and courage to bring healing in conflict areas.

The Sermon on the Mount is one of the most incredible passages of scripture in the entire Bible. It is the longest passage of Jesus speaking without interruption. The Beatitudes, or attitudes of supreme blessing, are a roadmap for our lives, teaching us to reflect the nature of Jesus Christ in every interaction. Throughout this devotional, we will spend three days on each beatitude, ending with a focus on applying the entirety of it to our daily lives.
