1 & 2 Thessalonians – Day 4

Someone was spreading disinformation. They said Jesus had already come back for His church and the Thessalonians had missed it. Disappointed and discouraged, some Thessalonian Christians gave up living godly lives and returned to their old ways. But Paul corrected and encouraged them. They hadn’t missed anything, even if the world around them was getting uglier and more sinful by the day.

You may wonder if Jesus is ever coming at all. Why do we bother following Jesus or telling people about Him if nothing is ever going to change? Hold on to the promises in God’s Word. He is coming back and we will be with Him for eternity. And there are still many people in our lives who need to hear His good news of salvation. Press on and continue to live the godly life He has called you to. It’ll be worth it in the end.
