As we journey toward Bethlehem, preparing our hearts for the gift of Christmas, we’re invited to consider the quiet strength of humility. Both Jesus' teaching and Peter's words remind us that the way up is down—the way to greatness in God's kingdom is found in humbling ourselves. Just as a child trusts and depends, we’re called to let go of pride, opening our hearts to receive Christ with the simplicity and wonder of children. This Advent, may we ready our hearts by surrendering our need for control, making room for God’s presence to fill us with His peace and joy.
