Navigating Election Season With Biblical Wisdomಮಾದರಿ

Do you ever find yourself getting anxious about political elections or situations?
Not only are the elections themselves contentious, but the decisions being made about laws, wars, international relations, rights, etc., can be troubling.
It is usually at a time when we're already worrying that a well-intentioned Christian friend will quote Philippians 4:6, which begins, "Be anxious for nothing..."
But how?
We need to back up a sentence.
Verse 5 ends with this 4-word reminder...
"The Lord is near."
Telling someone not to be anxious without the reminder that the Lord is near is almost mean!
After all, without the nearness of the Lord, we should be anxious.
God's nearness, His presence, leads to His peace.
And His peace is the peace that surpasses understanding.
Amen?
