7 Days of Healing From Addictionಮಾದರಿ

What’s Your Why?
Jesus completely changed my life on the morning of August 22, 2003. That’s when I came to the end of myself, cried out to him in my brokenness, and begged him for deliverance. I finally saw alcohol for what it was. The scales fell from my eyes, and in a moment, I was transformed.
The miraculous deliverance from blackout binge drinking was truly amazing, but my healing journey was far from over. Ahead of me were many years of learning how to yield to Jesus, walk beside him, and, most importantly, trust in my Savior. His power works best in submission along with prayer and faith-led living. When you’re addicted to something, you enter a relationship with it, and the consequences of that relationship will not sufficiently motivate you to fully end it. For true, lasting change to happen, you must have a compelling and powerful reason to change, and you need God to imprint that reason on your heart.
Decide that you’re ready to expel every single thing from your life that opposes God and then ask him to help you. Ask Jesus to show you how true freedom will impact the rest of your life. It might not happen overnight, but it will happen.
Take a moment now to write down your reason (or reasons). Why do you want to change? Keep your pledge close by and read it daily.
