Growing in the Knowledge of Godಮಾದರಿ

Grow Up
“But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.” (Malachi 4:2)
When the sun shines, the sick leave their chambers and walk outside to breathe the fresh air. When the sun brings spring and summer, the cattle leave their stalls and seek pasture in the higher Alps. Similarly, when we have conscious fellowship with our Lord, we depart from the pit of despair and walk confidently in the fields of holiness. We ascend to the mountains of joy and nourish ourselves on sweet pasture that grows closer to heaven than the provisions of worldly men.
To “go out” and to “grow up” is a twofold promise. O my soul, be eager to experience both blessings! Why should you be confined? Rise and move freely. Jesus promises that His sheep will come and go and find nourishment; therefore, go forth and feed in the rich meadows of boundless love. Why remain as a spiritual infant? Mature. Young calves grow rapidly, especially when well-fed; and you have the loving care of your Redeemer. So, grow in grace and in the knowledge of your Lord and Savior. Do not be restricted or stunted. The Sun of Righteousness has risen upon you. Respond to His light as buds do to the natural sun. Open your heart; expand and mature in Him in all things.
