Jesus said that those who believe in him will not only do the kind of work he did, but even greater works. It’s hard to imagine that any of us could do anything greater than the ministry Jesus accomplished. But think of this: what would happen if we as Christians, with Christ at work in us, worked together to make a difference? We may think our little life can't make much difference, but together as the body of Christ, God can use our little lives to change the world.

David didn't get to build a house for God like he wanted. But the work God did through his little life paved the way for David's son to build God's temple. Whatever seemingly small ways you live for Christ--sharing the Gospel with someone, making effort to grow closer to Jesus personally, showing up at Church eager to be with God and the body--God will use to accomplish his will and his glory.
