Reading With the People of God - #2ಮಾದರಿ

Welcome to the first day of part 2 of our journey through the Bible! For this plan, every day you will...
- Pray the prayers of the people of God (the Psalms).
- Read the story of the people of God (Old Testament).
- Join in the good news for the people of God(New Testament).
As you engage in this reading plan, each day, you will be invited to recite a "prayer of illumination." This prayer serves a dual purpose: it helps us to orient ourselves in the Word, and, more importantly, it is a heartfelt request to the Spirit of God. The request is to open our eyes, hearts, and minds to His specific message for us at that moment through His Word. These intentionally crafted prayers are expressed in a communal voice, using 'we' language instead of 'I.' The aim is for you to feel a sense of connection, realizing that you are not alone but are joined with the people of God in the shared mission of God.
Today's prayer of Illumination: (try reciting this prayer out loud)
Lord God, let the words of your servant’s mouth and the meditations of our hearts be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, our Rock and Redeemer. Through Christ. Amen. *
* All prayers of illumination in this plan are taken from The Worship Sourcebook, Second Edition.
