Finding Hope in Insecurity With Amy Carmichaelಮಾದರಿ

To one afraid of failing
It is those who never fear a fall who fall most terribly. “Hold thou me up and I shall be safe” (Ps. 119:117); not for one moment is our own power enough.
I think our Lord demands all. I see nothing less in His words about taking up the cross. It is all or nothing. I don’t mean that one sees all there is to see at first, or even at last, but only that all we know is given because we want to give all.
And faith shall sing a joyous Yes
To every dear command of Thine.
He poured out all for us. Can we measure our offering to Him?
Don’t be anxious. It is not what we feel that is important. By His grace, who has grace sufficient for the weakest of us, do you will to do His will? Do you will to do it even if it brings sorrow and pain and weariness? Yes, and dullness? If you can say, “He enabling me, that is my desire,” then you need not fear. You will not fail.
