This passage talks about how the Israelites followed the cloud (God’s presence) throughout the desert. Despite being in the wilderness, still far from the Promised Land, the Israelites were led clearly and authoritatively by God, who would appear when He was needed and tell the people exactly what they needed to hear. God still gives us this guidance today if we know how to listen.
