Different Life: 7th Commandmentಮಾದರಿ

Jesus says where our treasure is, there our heart will be also. Stealing is about valuing the wrong treasure.
When we treasure God, the allure and enticement of stuff loosens up. When we treasure something else, the desire to take what isn’t ours intensifies.
God delights in giving us good things. He gives them not only for our survival, but for our happiness and enjoyment as well. He gives them because we are His treasured possession. God’s gifts are meant to help us delight in Him, the giver. It goes off the rails when we start to delight more in His gift. God wants to be our treasured possession too.
Sometimes treasuring God will cost you. Make no mistake. Following Jesus will not always get you financially ahead. But here’s the question you have to ask yourself: Is He worth it? No one can answer that question for you. But for those born again by the Spirit, God is valued so high that we’d give up the world for Him.
If this plan helped you learn about the 7th Commandment, we encourage you to walk through all 10 Commandments. Subscribe to the next plan: “Different Life: 8th Commandment” or others that have come before.
