Just like in any relationship, there are moments where it seems like nothing is going on. The relationship feels dull and stale. The passion has disappeared. There are all kinds of relationship coaches who tell us how to ignite the fire of passion in the relationship again, but how do you do that when it comes to your relationship with Christ?

This calls for deliberate actions to be taken. Whether you must set time aside in your day for fellowship with the Holy Spirit, whether it is done by increased prayer, or if it is done by being more consistent in your church attendance, there has to be a deliberate effort on our part as well. No shackle is easy to escape without force. Therefore, use these things as the force that will push you out of the clutches of apathy and depression. Do not allow yourself to be shut down, but know that God made you to be a vibrant human being, beaming with His light. As you embark on your pursuit of Jesus, may your passion burn for Him like never before.
