Surrender the "How"ಮಾದರಿ

Day 2: Trust in His Timing
After 25 years on the air, I decided to leave my profession as a radio personality. I just knew that because of my obedience, God would pour out money from the sky. But that didn’t happen. I went through five years of hardships and have only now begun to experience financial abundance. I can still hear myself saying, "God, I did what you told me to do!" I started to resemble the kid shouting "Are we there yet?" in the backseat. See, even though we might desire things to follow our schedule, God has the ideal moment in mind for every aspect of our lives. I had lessons to learn in order to develop my character and tenacity. Although it can be difficult, giving God control over our timing enables us to put our faith in His larger purpose for our lives. It encourages us in letting go of our need for power. Waiting for things to happen can be annoying but when we rely on God's timing, we can feel certain that everything will go according to His agenda.
Heavenly Father, please help me to have faith in Your timing. As I wait for Your plan to play out in my life, please grant me patience. Please remind me that You are always right on time and that You are aware of what is best for me. Amen.
