Biblical Justiceಮಾದರಿ

A few characteristics appear throughout the Bible that describes how we can live out Biblical justice in our lives - equality, advocacy, and generosity.
Equality: God created every single person in his image. This means everybody has inherent value and needs to be treated with dignity and respect. When you see people excluded, mistreated, or disrespected, it’s your job to stand up for them. Jesus constantly shocked the people around him. Jesus showed love and respect to those society labeled as outcasts, unclean, and undeserving.
Advocacy: Psalm 41 says, “blessed is the one who gives active consideration to the weak and the poor.” The word consideration in this verse points to the idea that we are all called to pay attention, seek to understand, and change the situation. As followers of Jesus, we can’t turn a blind eye to the needs around us. Instead, we need to become aware and stand up for those suffering.
Generosity: Ezekiel describes what a righteous person looks like. In his explanation, Ezekiel describes how they don’t use their money or resources to put others down. Instead, they live generously - giving to those in need.
Next Step: Which of the three characteristics do you need to work on the most? Choose one to focus on today, and commit to finding ways to stretch yourself in that characteristic.
