Be Still: 15 More Days With Godಮಾದರಿ

AN ETERNAL GAZE
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 2 CORINTHIANS 4:17
In remembering all the trials of the apostle Paul, would you describe them as light affliction? He considered them so. He saw all of his troubles as a way to a more excellent and incomparable glory.
This life is so fleeting—but consider eternity. We have a reason not to lose heart since we have such a reward ahead. Trials and tribulations are for our sakes. They are working in us a far more exceeding weight of glory! Jesus said if you are suffering for persecutions’ sake, great is your reward in heaven. Rejoice! We can’t compare any trouble we encounter in this life with infinite joy!
And what is our part in all this? We are to prepare for difficulties ahead and know that our attitude towards them often magnifies these difficulties. We need to train ourselves not to look at the things which are seen but at what is eternal. Let’s fix our eyes on that!

About this Plan

"Be still, and know that I am God;" (PSALM 46:10a). Many Christians are familiar with this verse, but do we really understand it? This exhortation applies when we are distracted by our successes, as when we are fearful and disquieted by some troublesome news. We must learn to quiet ourselves by opening God’s Word and gaining His perspective in both cases.
