Today’s verse is the greatest and most incredible call in the Bible - to follow Jesus! It’s what Jesus said to His disciples, and it’s the same call that comes to each of us. First, the call is to come close to Him, walk with Him, be near Him, have a restored relationship. Secondly, to be released into the great purpose of fishing or reaching others with the message about Jesus. When you follow Jesus, He will make something great out of you. He invites all to come as we are, but He doesn’t leave us the way He found us.
