What I love most about the songs of David is his unmitigated gall to trust the God of His salvation in times when he could have renounced his faith.
In Psalm 23, we find an assurance most welcomed during the darkest seasons of our lives: Jesus will walk with us through the valley. Notice, David did not say God came to stand with him in the valley.
Jesus has no intention of staying where negativity and darkness are prevalent. He has come to walk you out of your valley season.
