Finding Life: Obedience 

When Sabina and Richard Wurmbrand read God’s word, they obeyed it. For many Christians, our level of knowledge far surpasses our commitment to obey what we know the Bible instructs. This commitment to obey God in all things aligns us with God’s eternal plan. Essential in our ongoing obedience is choosing to deny ourselves and lay aside our desires, comfort and safety in this world in order to find life that counts for eternity. 

Father, I commit today to pursue obedience to You above all other pursuits in my life. I offer as a sacrifice my own desires, comfort and safety. May I fix my eyes on You alone. In Jesus’ name, amen.
