 <div class="label">2</div><div class="p"> 1For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; 2that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. 5For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.</div><div class="s2">The All-sufficiency of Christ</div><div class="p"> 6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.</div><div class="p"> 8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 11in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.</div><div class="p"> 16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. 18Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19and not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.</div><div class="p"> 20Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 21(touch not; taste not; handle not; 22which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? 23Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.</div>

 <div class="label">12</div><div class="q1"> 1Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge:</div><div class="q2">But he that hateth reproof is brutish.</div><div class="q1"> 2A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD:</div><div class="q2">But a man of wicked devices will he condemn.</div><div class="q1"> 3A man shall not be established by wickedness:</div><div class="q2">But the root of the righteous shall not be moved.</div><div class="q1"> 4A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband:</div><div class="q2">But she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.</div><div class="q1"> 5The thoughts of the righteous are right:</div><div class="q2"> But the counsels of the wicked are deceit.</div><div class="q1"> 6The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood:</div><div class="q2">But the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.</div><div class="q1"> 7The wicked are overthrown, and are not:</div><div class="q2">But the house of the righteous shall stand.</div><div class="q1"> 8A man shall be commended according to his wisdom:</div><div class="q2">But he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.</div><div class="q1"> 9 He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better</div><div class="q2">Than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.</div><div class="q1"> 10A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast:</div><div class="q2">But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.</div><div class="q1"> 11He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread:</div><div class="q2">But he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.</div><div class="q1"> 12The wicked desireth the net of evil men:</div><div class="q2">But the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.</div><div class="q1"> 13The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips:</div><div class="q2">But the just shall come out of trouble.</div><div class="q1"> 14A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth:</div><div class="q2">And the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.</div><div class="q1"> 15The way of a fool is right in his own eyes:</div><div class="q2">But he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.</div><div class="q1"> 16A fool's wrath is presently known:</div><div class="q2">But a prudent man covereth shame.</div><div class="q1"> 17 He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness:</div><div class="q2">But a false witness deceit.</div><div class="q1"> 18There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword:</div><div class="q2">But the tongue of the wise is health.</div><div class="q1"> 19The lip of truth shall be established for ever:</div><div class="q2">But a lying tongue is but for a moment.</div><div class="q1"> 20Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil:</div><div class="q2">But to the counsellors of peace is joy.</div><div class="q1"> 21There shall no evil happen to the just:</div><div class="q2">But the wicked shall be filled with mischief.</div><div class="q1"> 22Lying lips are abomination to the LORD:</div><div class="q2">But they that deal truly are his delight.</div><div class="q1"> 23A prudent man concealeth knowledge:</div><div class="q2">But the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.</div><div class="q1"> 24The hand of the diligent shall bear rule:</div><div class="q2">But the slothful shall be under tribute.</div><div class="q1"> 25Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:</div><div class="q2">But a good word maketh it glad.</div><div class="q1"> 26The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour:</div><div class="q2">But the way of the wicked seduceth them.</div><div class="q1"> 27The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting:</div><div class="q2">But the substance of a diligent man is precious.</div><div class="q1"> 28In the way of righteousness is life;</div><div class="q2">And in the pathway thereof there is no death.</div><div class="b"></div>
