"Do You Have Rights?"
A key point to lay down our lives. It is marked by a DENIAL! Denying self means that we renounce our right to ourselves. Today’s society screams for our individual rights. According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we own 30 basic human rights. The last right listed is Right Number 30 which proclaims, “Nobody can take away these rights and freedoms from us.” If we give up our rights to God, does this mean we are slaves? God forbid! The scripture teaches us that, “So you are no longer a slave, but God's child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir (Galatians 4:7).” Since we are new creatures in Christ and we become citizens of a new kingdom, we give up our human rights to become an heir to the King!
Lord, we deny ourselves of self-will and every human right that would hinder us from following you. We accept the truth that we are your heirs of Your Kingdom and trust You for our very lives. We accept Your Love, Forgiveness, and Power to live our life according to Your Will.
