Day Five: Be Blessed

The key to being blessed is simple: obey God’s voice. That means making some clear choices based on His Word. Because I know that God plans to prosper me as I trust Him, I would not let a careless accident derail me, especially when so many people were depending on me to show up. I have learned that submitting to God’s will brings me so many blessings that I cannot contain them.

I would never have understood the twenty-eighth chapter of Deuteronomy had I not been broken, without hope, and then transformed by the grace of God. When my marriage was over, I lost my present and had no idea how to claim a future.

But I have learned that God isn’t looking for perfect people to serve Him. He knows that we are full of flaws, and we go through situations that break us. But we can allow those challenges to make us strong. In my worst times, when I have no idea what my next move should be, I search His Word for an answer. Today’s passage always reassures me that submitting to Him produces His blessings in my life. It will do the same for you.
