Read today’s Bible passage, Psalm 24, aloud.
Find a ball and pray these prayers or make up your own prayers based on this psalm.
Prayer 1
Imagine the ball is the whole world. Say: “Lord God, this is your world. Teach us to respect it and treat it properly.”
Prayer 2
Think of a time when you’ve seen or heard about sports stars behaving badly during a match or being found out for cheating. They give their sport a bad name.
How can you make sure you don’t give God a bad name?
Look at the ball. Say: “Lord God, help me to play fair and be fair. When I say I love you, help me to show that I mean it.”
Prayer 3
Imagine your ball is a precious jewel. In both hands, lift it up high as an offering to the King of the world.
