Advent is a four-week plan meant to draw our attention to the humble commencement of the Savior of our lives. This study includes four stories from Matthew and Luke. We learn God’s divine plan for the birth of Jesus Christ and experience what it was like to be present at these events. The question and answer format can be used for family devotions, group discussion, and self-study.

This is the 3rd of 27 devotional plans walking us through the book of Matthew. We begin the ministry of Jesus and then we listen to Him explain the initial rules of the Kingdom of God.

Deeper into Scripture is a methodology of scripture reading that instructs, encourages and equips people to read God’s Word daily and deeply. We have created a unique four-fold method of bible reading that directs the individual to read a short passage of scripture four times. Each reading is done with a different question, instruction or objective to be considered. This repetitive reading and instruction takes us deeply into the Word of God and draws us closer to Him.

This Presence plan is a collection of days designed to create space: a restful, mindful experience leading us in reflection & prayer. Music, film, and poetry inspired by the Lord’s Prayer weave a journey that allows us time out, a sense of peace, and an opportunity to experience God’s presence.

Over the next forty days we will journey together through the Gospel of Matthew that we might center our hearts on Jesus.  Each day of Lent will include a short video devotional (4-7 minutes) given by one of our church members at the City Church Beijing International Christian Fellowship.

It is our hope that these devotionals will remind us of who Jesus is and why He came. 

Worship Him

We will learn about mission from Jesus’ parables of the kingdom in Matthew 13. How do these parables apply to the task of global mission? What does Jesus say is God’s role and our role? We will be challenged to play our part in God’s mission to the world and to respond to his call to make disciples of all nations.

It's through our RIDICULOUS attention to everything Jesus said and did that we discover the truth about God, and the truth about ourselves. We learn everything about God we need to know by slowing WAY down to consider WHAT Jesus actually said and did, WHO He said and did it to, and WHAT the impact of His words and actions had on people. When we let our pursuit of Jesus guide our understanding of God and His story, we are transformed by what we discover.
