An Exercise in Faithნიმუში

God Causes Working Faith
Faith’s strength and endurance come from God Himself. The “cloud of witnesses” in Hebrews 11–12 reminds us that the heroes of faith were not relying on their own power but on God’s. They bore witness to His faithfulness, not their own achievements. Likewise, our faith is sustained by God’s work within us—He is the one who begins and completes the good work (Philippians 1:6). To “work out” faith, then, is to continually depend on God’s power and promises, trusting Him to act through us. Apart from Him, faith cannot function or flourish.
Questions to Consider:
- How does knowing that God works in you change your approach to faith?
- What can you learn from the “witnesses” of Hebrews 11 about trusting God?
- In what ways do you see God completing the work He began in your life?
