Love Versus Lustნიმუში

Choosing God’s Kind of Love
It’s not always easy to discern real love, especially in a world that celebrates emotions over truth. But God’s love gives you clarity. His Spirit helps you see beyond appearance and emotion to the real substance of a person’s heart.
Physical attraction isn’t wrong; it’s natural. But if attraction is the only thing holding a relationship together, it will fade fast. You need more than chemistry; you need character.
The world says, “Follow your feelings.” But God says, “Guard your heart” (Proverbs 4:23 NIV). Feelings are good initiators, but terrible decision-makers. Love that lasts is built on commitment, not convenience.
So, before you give your heart away, ask:
Does this relationship honour God?
Does it bring out the best in me?
Can it stand the test of time and truth?
Remember, true love is patient, kind, self-controlled, and anchored in God. Lust is impatient, selfish, and fleeting. Choose the love that lasts. Choose God’s way.
Reflection Question: How can you guard your heart and pursue relationships that reflect God’s love rather than lust?
