Romans 12 starts by saying we should be “living sacrifices” to God to “prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” God desires to do a transformation in us. Even during trials, God is working to renew us day by day to bring about his perfect and glorious will. 2 Corinthians 4:16 reminds us, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” God may let us endure very hard times, but He always does it with a purpose. We may not see that purpose, but it is there.
Are there trials in your life where you may need to shift your focus? Focus on God’s character and God’s will instead of your suffering.
