Get Out of Sleep Modeნიმუში

Where Is Your Faith? – Day 1
“One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, ‘Do you want to get well?’ ‘Sir,’ the invalid replied, ‘I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred.’”
(John 5:5–7, NIV)
This man had placed all his hope in a pool. He believed that if someone helped him reach the water when it was stirred, he would be healed. His faith was placed in a tradition, not in the God who could act at any moment.
How often do we do the same? We put our faith in money, a person, a job, or even “luck.” But the psalmist reminds us:
“Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation.”
(Psalm 62:5–6, NIV)
Jesus didn’t offer the paralyzed man an alternative method—He offered Himself.
In everyday life, this is like trusting a dead battery to power your phone: no matter how long you wait, it won’t work. Only a real power source can make it turn on. In the same way, only Jesus can bring the true answer to our needs.
Today, God invites you to ask yourself: where is your faith—still in the “pools” of this world, or in Jesus, your Savior?
Talk with God and open your heart:
Lord, forgive me if I’ve placed my faith in the wrong places. Today I choose to trust in You—my Rock and my salvation. I don’t want to live waiting for human solutions; I want to depend on Your power. Amen.
Think about this:
• In what “pools” have you placed your hope instead of in Jesus?
• If Jesus asked you today, “Do you want to get well?”, what would you answer?
Coming up on Day 2: How Much Longer?
Tomorrow, we’ll see how often we let the years go by without moving forward in God’s purpose.

About this Plan

Many times, we live on autopilot, as if we were in “sleep mode”: without active faith, trapped in routine, waiting for wrong solutions, or doubting God’s power. The story of the paralyzed man at the Pool of Bethesda (John 5) shows us that Jesus comes into our lives to awaken us from spiritual lethargy and give us new strength. This 5-day plan invites you to awaken your faith, trust that God is your way out, and rise up to walk in His purpose.
