Hearing God's Voiceნიმუში

Learning to Listen with Your Heart
Today’s Goal
Discover how to hear God’s voice not only with your mind, but especially with your heart.
Bible (ESV)
Romans 10:17
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Luke 8:12
“Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.”
Romans 10:9–10
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Reflection
The Pharisees knew the Scriptures by heart, yet they didn’t recognize Jesus. Why? Because they listened with their minds instead of their hearts. Our heart is the listening organ of faith. Jesus speaks through impressions—such as peace, stillness, and conviction. His words are meant to take root in your heart and bear fruit.
Practical Steps
Find a quiet place. Ask Jesus what He wants to say about a situation or person. Pay attention to thoughts, feelings, images, or a sense of peace that you experience. Test whether what you receive aligns with God’s character and the Bible. If it does, act on it—pray, write down your impression, or share it.
Action Point
When you pray, don’t start by talking. Instead, first ask: “Jesus, what do You want me to pray?”
Reflection Point
What does it mean for you to listen with your heart instead of your mind?
Extra Tip
You don’t have to get it perfect. God looks at your desire, not your performance.
