Snapshots: Making Memories With Godნიმუში

SHARING YOUR STORY
Your story is so powerful. When you think of who Jesus is and what He has done, you cannot keep it to yourself. Our stories declare who God is. They are real-life examples of God’s faithfulness and His involvement in our lives. You have seen Him in powerful and unique ways. You have a unique vantage point of who He is and what He is able to do. Our memories with God become testimonies for the sake of others. They encourage and inspire others to live boldly in this world.
- Scripture:
Revelation 12:11 (ESV) – “And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.”
Psalm 78:4 (ESV) – “We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.”
- Personal story:
I noticed how the Lord would use my hubby in healing other people. He would regularly pray for people and see them healed. When I prayed for people to be healed, I didn’t see the same results. One evening I had a dream in which the Lord said: I’m releasing a gift of healing to you. The very next day a neighbour had a toothache. Still impacted by the previous evening’s dream I laid my hand on her head and prayed for her. She came home that evening and said the pain had completely left. I must admit, that was a first for me. In that same week we visited a pregnant lady in the hospital who had kidney problems. They would only allow one of us into the room, my hubby was adamant it should be me. A bit irritated that he didn’t recognize the severity of the problem, I prayed with the lady, only to be called later and told that no operation was necessary and that she was at home. Then in that same week my hubby led a healing service and we prayed for people. During the prayer time, I heard the Holy Spirit say I’m giving you the hard cases tonight. In the ministry time a lady that was paralyzed was brought to me. I felt completely out of my depth. As I surrendered to the Holy Spirit and acknowledged that it was his power that was needed, not mine, Jesus healed her. Often when I tell this story, I highlight the truth that God can do anything, using anyone, if we simply give Him our yes.
- Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for all You’ve done! Thank You for being real to me. Thank You that You become real to others as I boldly share my story. May You be glorified! Amen.
- Practical exercise:
Write a short testimony or “snapshot story” and consider sharing it with someone or posting it online.
