The first people to hear the news about Jesus were humble shepherds, watching their flocks in the dark, silent night. Suddenly, the sky exploded with a holy light—the glory of the Lord! They were scared, but the light meant something wonderful was happening. Jesus is the light of the world, and He always shines brightest when the world feels dark. He chose ordinary people to be the first to know the most extraordinary news!
