Welcome, Brave Mom

Hello sweet friend, my name is Deb Weakly, and I am truly honored to walk alongside you in The Ministry of a Christian Stepmom devotional. What you are doing as a bonus mom, a brave mom, is holy, beautiful, and deeply important work. It takes courage to love in blended spaces. It takes strength to show up every day with grace. And it takes deep dependence on the Lord to walk a road that can sometimes feel unseen and incredibly hard.

I want you to know this right from the beginning:
God sees you. He loves you. And He has called you to this role for such a time as this.

You may not always hear “thank you.” You may even face moments where you hear painful words like, “You’re not my real mom.” Yet there is a special crown, a quiet strength, and an eternal reward being formed in you through your faithfulness.

I am not a stepmom myself, but I was a “bonus child” who had three stepmoms, and I know firsthand how powerful your role is. You matter — more than you may ever know on this side of heaven.

Throughout this plan, I’ll be praying for you, cheering you on, and speaking Scripture and truth over your heart. You can read each devotional or simply listen, because I know how busy life can be. As you go through these days, may you feel seen, held, and strengthened by the God who chose you for this ministry of love.

Before we begin, let me pray for you:

Lord, I lift up this precious, brave mom. Meet her here in every word, every prayer, every moment of this journey. Strengthen her. Refresh her. Fill her with supernatural love, wisdom, and peace. Remind her she is never alone, and that You are working in ways she cannot yet see. Bless her home and her family, in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.

Sweet friend, God delights in you. He walks with you. And He is so proud of the way you love.
