Living Open-Handed: 30 Days of Generosity and Impactნიმუში

Loving Difficult People
It’s easy to love people who are kind, polite, and share our values. But what about those who are hard to get along with, disagree or frustrate us, or who have hurt us?
Jesus told His followers to love their enemies and pray for those who opposed them. This teaching was just as challenging 2,000 years ago as it is today. Loving difficult people isn’t about pretending bad behavior is okay, and it doesn't mean ignoring healthy boundaries. It’s about showing patience, compassion, and grace, even when it is not returned.
We can do this because God extended His grace to us first. The Bible says that while we were still distant from Him, He loved us and made a way for us to be forgiven through Jesus. When we remember how much grace we have been shown, it becomes easier to extend it to others.
Reflection Question: Who in your life is difficult to love, and how might you show them grace this week?
Call to Action: Pray for one person who is hard for you to love. Ask God to help you see them the way He does.
Prayer: Father, help me to love people as You love me ... with patience, compassion, and grace. Amen.
