Are Your Friendships Fueling Your Faith?ნიმუში

RESISTING PEER PRESSURE
Who are you living to please: your friends, the crowd, or the One who created you? Peer pressure is one of the strongest forces young people face. The desire to fit in, be liked, or avoid rejection can lead us to compromise who we are in Christ. Whether it is through speech, behaviour, or beliefs, the pressure to follow the crowd is real, but so is the strength God gives us to stand.
Jesus never followed the crowd; He followed His Father. His life shows us that the approval of God is far more powerful than the applause of people. We can stand firm in our identity when we know who we belong to and whose voice matters most.
Godly friendships will never pressure you into sin. Instead, they encourage growth, truth, and purpose. Even when you are surrounded by the wrong influences, the Spirit of God within you is greater than any pressure around you. Choose to live for an audience of One.
PRACTICAL TIP
Before you go to school, hang out with friends, or post online, pray: "Lord, help me stand for what pleases You today." If you feel pressured to compromise, take a deep breath, step aside, and ask: "Would Jesus smile at this choice?"
TESTIMONY
Lebo was often teased for not drinking at parties. But she stayed firm. A classmate who secretly wanted to stop drinking approached her for help. Her quiet courage became a doorway for someone else's freedom.
PRAYER
Lord, help me stand strong when I am pressured to compromise. Remind me that I live for You, not the crowd. Fill me with Your Spirit so I can walk boldly in truth. Teach me to value Your approval above all, and help me influence others with love, not fear. You are my strength and confidence.
