Faith in the Ordinary - a 5 Day Journey Through the Book of Colossians ნიმუში

Faith in the ordinary often shines most brightly in our relationships with family, friends, coworkers, and even strangers. Colossians tells us to “clothe” ourselves with love. Just as you get dressed daily, choosing patience and kindness becomes a daily decision.
The truth is, the people who love us the most also have the potential to hurt us the most. Through relationships, we can encounter deep healing, but it’s also through relationships that we often experience the deepest pain.
I’ve hurt people close to me, most often unintentionally, but I’ve hurt them nonetheless. It’s in those moments, when I receive forgiveness and grace, that I realise just how much I should be offering forgiveness and grace to those who hurt me.
Jesus reminds us that whoever has been forgiven little, loves little. When we begin to grasp how much we’ve been forgiven in Christ, we willingly choose to clothe ourselves with patience, humility, gentleness, and kindness—for the sake of our relationships.
Reflection:
What “clothing” do you need to put on in your relationships today?
Prayer:
“God, help me clothe myself with Your love in every interaction.”

About this Plan

Life is often lived in the ordinary; in school, at work, in our homes, in conversations with friends. Yet God meets us there. The book of Colossians reminds us that Christ is supreme, and that His presence transforms even the most mundane moments into opportunities for faith, hope, and love. This plan will help you see the extraordinary in the ordinary and inspire you to live your faith out loud where God has placed you.
