BOUNDARIES THAT HONOUR GOD

Are the choices you make protecting your walk with God, or pulling you further from His presence? You may find yourself in situations where people mock you for saying "no" to things acceptable to them. To them, such boundaries may seem restrictive. However, from God's perspective, these boundaries are not fences; they are safeguard lines of love given by our heavenly Father. He longs for His children to be safe and walk close to His heart.

God's Word reminds us: "You are not your own… For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6:19–20). When we recognise that we belong to Him, we begin to live our lives to please Him in all things and set boundaries that reflect His holiness.

A boundary is not a sign of weakness; it is an act of worship. It says, "Lord, I value Your presence more than fleeting pleasure. I choose You above all else." People may think that saying "no" or choosing not to engage in certain friendships means you are weak, afraid, or judgmental. But it takes far more strength to stand firm in your convictions than to follow the crowd.

Boundaries are not walls to keep people out; they are gates that protect what God is building in your life. Jesus Himself set boundaries. He walked away from crowds, said "no" to distractions and did not entrust Himself to everyone (John 2:24). That was wisdom!

Setting boundaries is not about rejection, it is about protection of your purpose and devotion to God. Ask God to reveal where you've compromised and let Him realign your heart with holiness.

PRAYER

Lord, I choose to live a set-apart life. Help me honour You with every decision. Establish sacred boundaries around my heart, time and relationships. Let Your Spirit guide me and keep me. Amen.
