Strengthen Your Faith #7 Baptized With the Holy Spiritნიმუში

The Baptism in the Spirit: A Promise for Everyone
In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit was given only to a few: prophets, kings, judges… people chosen by God for special tasks. The Spirit would come upon them for a moment, empowering them to speak, act, or lead according to God’s will. But with the coming of Jesus, everything changed. In the New Covenant, God wants to fill every believer with His Spirit, not just a few.
This isn’t a last-minute idea: the prophet Joel announced it many centuries before: "I will pour out My Spirit on all people; your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Even on My servants, both men and women, I will pour out My Spirit in those days." (Joel 2:28-29 NIV)
What a wonderful promise! God doesn’t show favoritism, men, women, young, old, rich, poor, everyone can receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. No one is excluded. And indeed, on the day of Pentecost, that very prophecy came true.
Peter himself, standing before the crowd, declared: “This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel…” (Joel 2:28 NIV)
The baptism in the Spirit isn’t reserved for “super believers.” It’s not for a privileged few. It’s a promise for anyone who believes in Jesus and opens their heart in faith. God wants His people to be a prophetic people, people who hear His voice and share it with others through their lives, their words, and their joy.
Today more than ever, the world needs Spirit-filled people: free, bold, and authentic. And God is ready to baptize you, too, with His Spirit. Don’t wait, open your heart, receive His power… and get ready to live a life that speaks of Him.
