Thirty Days of Victoryნიმუში

Victory does not come easy. Oftentimes, it requires a cutting away or dismissal of different habits and behaviors that keep us from doing our best. For some of these habits and behaviors, we need outside help in removing them from our lives. For example, many athletes turn to dietitians or fitness coaches to help them achieve their full potential and get rid of foods or behaviors that could keep them from victory in their sports.
Similarly, to embrace victory in Christ, we must remove the sinful attitudes and behaviors from our lives. Paul describes it in Colossians as a "cutting away of your sinful nature" (2:11). This is only done through Christ and his death on the cross, which removed the charges against us for our sins. By doing this, the entire spiritual world was turned upside down, securing victory over sin and evil!
While Christ has secured victory for those of us who trust in him, we still tend to walk in the shame of our old attitudes and behaviors. This is not how Christ calls us to live. He wants us to be free from sin, evil, and any lies the enemy tries to make us believe. We are victorious over sin because he was victorious on the cross. Jesus' death still secures victory for us today. When we walk in this victory, we can live a new life free from sin and shame.
