Family Advent Devotional - the Hope of Christmasნიმუში

Serve with Love
Activity (Optional)
Make iced chocolates [or ice-cream sundaes] for each other–with all the fun extras, like whipped cream, marshmallows and sprinkles.
Devotional
When we take time to make something special for another person, we’re showing love the way Jesus did. Jesus was always serving others, washing feet, sharing food, healing people, and showing kindness. So, while you're decorating someone’s iced chocolate, it can actually be very special. You're learning to serve with joy. And when we serve with love, even the smallest things (like adding extra marshmallows!) can make someone feel really special.
Share
- How did it feel to make something fun for someone else?
- What’s one small way you can show Jesus’ love to someone this week?
Pray
Dear God, thank you for showing us love and making us feel special in so many ways. Help us show your love to others this week by doing something special for them. Amen.
