DAY TWENTY-FOUR — God Dwells With His People
Exodus 40 opens with God telling Moses to set up the Tabernacle on the first day of the first month. After deliverance from Egypt, covenant renewal, and the building of God’s house, the moment had come: God Himself would dwell among His people.
This moment points forward to Jesus, “the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (John 1:14).
We are never abandoned. We are never outside His reach. And just as the Israelites could approach the Tabernacle with awe, we can approach God in prayer and worship, knowing He is near, attentive, and personal.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- How does it encourage you to know that God dwells with His people?
- How might God’s nearness change the way you walk through today?

About this Plan

THE PROMISED LAND and Milk and Honey Productions have created this plan to help individuals and groups engage the story of Exodus and Leviticus in a fresh way. In this 30-day devotional, you’ll see clips from THE PROMISED LAND, read passages of Scripture, and reflect on questions that connect Israel’s journey to your own walk of faith. Through humor, reverence, and honesty, we’ll discover that God uses ordinary, imperfect people to accomplish His extraordinary purposes.
