Faith Formation Framework Series 2: Faith Internalized Through Spiritual Practices and Learning

DAY 5 OF 5

Living Loved

Focus

Visualization: Picture yourself and those you love wrapped in God’s unshakable embrace.

Listen

Scripture: 1 John 4:16 (NIV)
"God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them."

Reflection:
At the center of faith is not certainty, but love. Before young people obey, serve, or lead, they must know that they are deeply, unconditionally loved by God. Love is not earned. It is not revoked by failure. It does not depend on performance. This love can sustain them when doubts rise, when injustice wounds, when the world seems unsteady. Each Christian is meant to be the presence of God's love embodied. Through our love, young people can come to know that God is not far off, but present— in suffering, in joy - always at work drawing all creation toward wholeness.

Apply

How will you embody God’s love for a young person who needs reassurance this week?

Respond

God of love, anchor young people in the unshakable truth that they are beloved. Let me be a vessel of your tenderness and grace as they discover their identity in you.

About this Plan

Faith Formation Framework Series 2: Faith Internalized Through Spiritual Practices and Learning

A lot of people might say, “I don’t know how to pray. I don’t know what words to say.” However, God gave us eyes, ears, and other senses to perceive the world. Spiritual practices begin with simply paying attention to what God is doing in the world around you and trying to let go of all of the things that would prevent you from seeking God’s will. We don’t need to be experts or poets. Jesus is always waiting for us to spend time with him.
