Rebuilt Faith

DAY 20 OF 30

Day 20: Strength in Community

Community is not just a nice idea, it is essential for a life of faith. From the earliest days of the Church, believers gathered together to pray, break bread, and share one another’s burdens. Scripture reminds us that “two are better than one” and that we are called to “carry each other’s burdens.”

Life inevitably brings seasons of hardship, loss, and struggle. When those times come, God intends for us to lean on the support of His people. The Body of Christ is designed so that no one has to walk through trials alone. We give strength to one another through prayer, encouragement, acts of service, and simply by showing up.

At the same time, community also multiplies joy. Celebrating victories, sharing gratitude, and worshiping together deepen our experience of God’s blessings. Community reminds us that we belong, that we are loved, and that together we are being built up as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Isolation may feel easier or more comfortable at times, but it cannot compare to the strength that comes from true Christian community. To grow in faith, we must commit to belong and allow others to walk alongside us.

Questions

  • When have you experienced the strength of being supported by a faith community?
  • How can you intentionally offer that same strength to someone else this week?

About this Plan

Rebuilt Faith

Rebuilt Faith will help you take daily steps to grow as a disciple of Christ. Inspired by the book by Fr. Michael White and Tom Corcoran, this plan invites you to reflect on who Jesus is and why He is worth following. Through the STEPS of discipleship—Serve, Tithe and Give, Engage, Practice, and Share—you’ll discover practical ways to live your faith: serving others, trusting God’s provision, building authentic community, deepening prayer, and sharing the Gospel. Each devotional is designed to draw you closer to Christ and inspire you to take your next step in faith.
