Day 13: Sacrifice and Blessing
Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice Isaac tested his faith in God’s provision. Though he didn’t know how, he trusted that God would provide. In response to Abraham’s obedience, God promised abundant blessing: descendants as numerous as the stars.
In the same way, our giving is often sacrificial. We give up something we value: money, time, resources, because we believe God’s promises. On the other side of sacrifice, we discover blessing: deeper trust, spiritual growth, and often unexpected provision.
Sacrifice is never easy. But when we give with faith, we are drawn into God’s economy where generosity multiplies. Our willingness to let go becomes the very thing that opens the door to God’s abundant blessings.
Questions
- What might sacrificial giving look like in your life right now?
- How has God blessed you in times when you chose to give generously?
