DAY 11 OF 30

Eve

“And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God establishes boundaries in order to propel you forward. He’s trying to promote you. When God establishes a Command, it’s not to withhold something good from you—in fact, God is trying to get something better to you.

In fact, after God gave Adam the specific order to, “not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil…” (Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭17 KJV) God wasn’t trying to restrict Adam—God was trying to double him.

When God Commands you not to do something, it’s not to withhold something good from you—it’s to posture you for greater. In the very next verse, Genesis 2:18, God wanted to enlarge Adam through Eve.

‭Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭18 KJV declares, ‬‬ “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”

‭‭

When God gives you orders—He’s not trying to restrict you—He’s trying to promote you. Notice, after Adam submitted to God’s Instruction, to not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil—God expanded his authority. Promotion comes from God. Obedience requires your submission.

Notice, before God pulled Eve from Adam’s rib—Adam was submitted to the authority of God. Before Eve was presented—Adam, was a clean, willing, and obedient vessel. God establishes the legacy of the willing. God promotes the legacy of the humble. God uses clean and submitted vessels.
