Unfolding the Bible Story With Shereneნიმუში

Living Faith Today
Young but Called
Timothy was young, perhaps uncertain, and still learning the depth of his faith. Yet God called him to lead. Imagine being asked to guide seasoned believers while still finding your own footing. Paul, his mentor, did not dismiss Timothy's youth. Instead, he urged him to set an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. Timothy's story reminds us that God's call is not defined by age or status. What matters is a heart willing to serve.
History offers echoes of Timothy's journey. In seventeenth-century France, Blaise Pascal displayed astonishing brilliance as a teenager. By sixteen, he had already made groundbreaking contributions to mathematics and science. Yet his youthful zeal found a greater purpose when he encountered the living God. His passion shifted from fame and intellectual recognition to using his gifts to defend the Christian faith and encourage others to trust in Christ. Though young, his influence reached far beyond his years and continues to inspire generations.
I have seen this unfold in my own journey. As a teenager, God gave me opportunities to serve in youth fellowships. Later, as a young mother in new countries, I wondered if my season of leading had passed. Yet God had other plans. In Hong Kong, He opened doors to walk alongside teenagers from different cultures. One boy in particular stood out. Energetic, distracted, and always glued to his mobile phone, he tested the patience of every leader. Yet I felt drawn to encourage him. Week after week, with gentle persistence, we created space for him to belong. Over time, his heart softened, and he grew in confidence. Years later, he told me how deeply the group had blessed him and that he was the first in his family to encounter Jesus.
Timothy's courage, Pascal's brilliance directed toward faith, and my own small experience all point to one truth: God delights in using the young and the inexperienced. What the world may dismiss as immaturity, God sees as possibility. A surrendered heart, even when uncertain, can carry influence far beyond its years.
Reflection Question
How are you embracing God's calling in this season of your life? Are you willing to let Him use you, regardless of your age or experience?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for meeting me in my youth and shaping my heart for Your purposes. Help me trust that You can use me at any age. Give me courage to lead, love, and serve faithfully, relying on Your strength for every step. Let my life reflect Your faithfulness and Your glory.
