Jesus Came So That We May Have Eternal Life
"For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (NLT).
Jesus did not just come to teach good morals or perform miracles. He came with a greater purpose. He came so that we could know God, experience His love, and receive eternal life.
Eternal life is not just endless existence; it is life as God intended - full of joy, peace, and purpose. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we can experience a right relationship with the source of life—God Himself.
Have you fully surrendered your life to Jesus Christ so that you can experience the fullness of eternal life He came to give?
Prayer: Father God, Thank You for sending Jesus Christ so that I could be reconciled to You and receive eternal life. Help me to live in the fullness of your love, peace, and joy each day. Draw me closer to You and let my life reflect the purpose for which Jesus came. In Jesus name, Amen.
About this Plan

The phrase “so that” in the Bible points us to purpose. Jesus didn’t come without intention. The Bible wasn’t given without direction. And our gifts weren’t entrusted without reason. In this 3-day devotional, we look at three powerful truths from God’s Word: Jesus came so that we could have eternal life, the Bible was given so that we could be equipped, and gifts were entrusted so that we could bring glory to God. May we be reminded of God’s purpose for your life and inspired to live it out.
