40 Days to Awaken Your Sober Mind

DAY 5 OF 40

One of the enemy’s loudest lies is, You’re the only one. The only one who feels this stuck. The only one who’s hiding a glass behind the stack of cookbooks. The only one with the next morning regret. That’s just not true.

Sis, you’re not the only one…and you’re not meant to walk this path alone. In our SoberSis community, it’s evident that there are SO MANY women who desire becoming sober minded and experience lasting freedom in their lives. Ecclesiastes shows us the strength in companionship because it’s not if but when life gets “lifey” that we fully recognize the power of supportive relationships. God designed us to be stronger together than we are apart.

James reminds us that healing happens when we’re honest with others. It is powerful when we take off the masks and bring our authentic selves into the light. We can feel and receive God’s love and grace through the hugs and listening ears of those around us.

Whether it’s a text to a trusted friend or joining a sober-minded sisterhood, the act of connecting brings freedom. Shame shrinks us to live hidden in “small” spaces. God’s mercies are new every morning, and so is the fresh invitation to come out of our hiding.

Prayer:
God, thank You for placing people in my life to walk with me. Help me reach out, be honest, and receive support with courage and grace.

Journal Prompt:
When have you felt most supported on this journey? What kind of connection are you craving right now?

About this Plan

40 Days to Awaken Your Sober Mind

Have you found yourself at the end of a long day, wondering, “Is this glass of wine really helping? You’re not alone. Let's awaken your sober mind through presence, grace, and truth. We’ll explore what it means to pause, connect, and live in alignment. We’re going to look at what God’s Word says about freedom, peace, and wholeness. Each day, I encourage you to slow down and really reflect. Let this be more than just a reading. Let it be a rewiring. You are not broken. You’re being rebuilt. One day at a time, one choice at a time.
