40 Days to Awaken Your Sober Mind

DAY 25 OF 40

Growth is messy. It stretches. It stings. But Sis, it’s working.

James tells us that hardships grow our perseverance. He assures us that the testing of our faith brings out endurance, steadfastness, and even patience. He describes encountering our trials and temptations with an adjective like enveloped. In other words, have you ever felt covered up or surrounded completely? In the growth process, we often feel hidden, but God is doing some of His most important work within us during that time. Don’t resist it. Instead, let Him do a thorough work so that we may be fully developed and lacking nothing. If you’re going to step into a new calling or experience a breakthrough, it is going to require you to outgrow the places you’ve been. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Paul reminds us that our troubles and momentary afflictions will achieve glory. That discomfort you’re feeling? It's a transformation in real time. We’re reminded not to look for the things we can see with our natural eyes, but rather the unseen, because the invisible things are everlasting and will matter in eternity!

When you want to give up, remember, pain is not the enemy. It's evidence that you’re not numb anymore. You are becoming more resilient, more refined, more alive.

God wastes nothing.

Prayer:
Father, help me embrace the growing pains. Use them to shape me into the woman You’re calling me to be.

Journal Prompt:
Where are you experiencing discomfort in this journey? What growth might be happening beneath the surface?

About this Plan

40 Days to Awaken Your Sober Mind

Have you found yourself at the end of a long day, wondering, “Is this glass of wine really helping? You’re not alone. Let's awaken your sober mind through presence, grace, and truth. We’ll explore what it means to pause, connect, and live in alignment. We’re going to look at what God’s Word says about freedom, peace, and wholeness. Each day, I encourage you to slow down and really reflect. Let this be more than just a reading. Let it be a rewiring. You are not broken. You’re being rebuilt. One day at a time, one choice at a time.
