30 Days of Prayer: A Call to Care for the World's Most Vulnerableნიმუში

Day 14: Prayer for Generosity and Giving Hearts
Reflection: One of the most beautiful things about children is their natural generosity. Give a child a cookie, and they'll likely offer to share it with a friend. However, life experiences can either nurture this generosity or cause it to wither.
When we pray for generosity and giving hearts, we're asking God to cultivate a spirit of generosity in the next generation, regardless of their economic circumstances. We're interceding for children who have been taught to hoard resources out of fear, for those who have never experienced the joy of giving and for communities where selfishness has become the norm. We're also praying for children who have little to give materially but can offer their time, talents, and love to others. God's economy is different from the world's — it's based on generosity rather than accumulation. Even children living in poverty can experience the blessing of giving when they share what little they have.
Today, let us pray for generous hearts among the next generation, for opportunities for children to experience the joy of giving, and for communities that model and encourage generosity. May we inspire children to be givers rather than just receivers.
