Held Through Church Hurt
In this episode, we gently name the pain of church hurt and begin to imagine what healing could look like. You’ll be reminded that God is not the one who hurt you—He’s the one who wants to heal you. Even when people fail, Jesus remains faithful, and His kindness holds space for both your questions and your restoration.
Matthew 27:45–50
🤔 Jesus didn’t hide His anguish. What would it look like for you to follow His example and be brutally honest with God?
Hebrews 4:14–16
🤔 Are you keeping any of your church hurt hidden from God, assuming He doesn’t care or wouldn’t understand? What would it look like to bring it boldly to Him?
🤔 Tell the truth in prayer. Say what hurts. Say it to God. Say it aloud if you need to. Scripture invites us to lament.

About this Plan

Life can leave us feeling alone, wounded, or weary. But the story of Scripture reminds us that even in our lowest moments, we are not abandoned—we are held. In this 5-day journey, teacher and author Scott Sauls gently guides us through how Jesus meets us in our loneliness, holds us with kindness, walks with us through hurt, and gives us strength in weakness. You’re not forgotten. You’re held.
