Jesus Is…Infinitely Gloriousნიმუში

Day 2 - Jesus is…Everlasting.
Isaiah 40:27-31 and Psalm 102:25-27 (ESV)
Devotional: Isaiah 40:28 (ESV) asks, "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable." The Lord is everlasting, but what does that mean? Everlasting is ôlām in Hebrew and means forever, beyond time, unending. He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning, and the End. While mountains, oceans, and land may seem lasting, they will eventually fade away. But the Lord's reign is eternal, from everlasting to everlasting. Why is Him being everlasting important? Because His kindness, grace, mercy, and love are everlasting. Being eternal by nature, His attributes never fade. His timelessness offers us stability and consistency, making Him a reliable cornerstone and foundation for our faith. In His greatness, He controls time, yet He exists outside of it, offering us a steadfast hope that endures forever. Embrace the everlasting nature of our Creator and let His eternal love inspire your every day.
Prayer: Jesus, it is a gift that your reign is everlasting. Every attribute you have is eternal. Remind me of your perfect timing when I continue to forget.
